I just wanted to wrap up this post in case anyone ever finds it in the future. First, this seems to have fixed my harsh/delayed engagements, my line pressure is still about 20-25 PSI over the spec but it doesn't bounce around erratically anymore and it engages immediately and smoothly so I am calling it a success. A couple of tips, you will definitely need the valve body mounting gasket if you are changing PC-A as there is no way to get it out without removing the harness and there is no way to remove the harness without removing the valve body, at least for me the gasket that I got is different than the one that came out of the truck, the only difference is there will be a big square notch taken out of the skinny end up the gasket, I recommend checking it out for yourself but when I matched it up to the bottom of the transmission I couldn't see anyway that it would make any functional difference. The other thing I would make sure of is that when you put the valve body back on the transmission make sure the little arm coming off of the gear selector goes in the "gap" on the manual valve, I didn't notice until I had the valve body back on and had to remove it again to correct it. It took 10.5 qts to bring my transmission fluid level to the middle of the hot side of the dipstick when checking it per the manual. Also a special thanks to Sean as the technical documents that he provided were absolutely essential in doing this successfully, specifically the torque sequence and torque spec.
I will check out the eBay link thanks! My filtering should be good now because when I did the solenoid I put an 08+ trans pan and the updated filter on it.
With that on you should be good I would think.
I was more worried about if you had the old style and
when doing the install some crud got knocked loose.
It would really blow to have that mess up the new solenoid.
