Do you remember what your old remote looked like? Is the replacement the same? Are you sure the replacement remote works, battery good?
Here is all I have, but this is for factory installed RKE.
If the doors are locking and unlocking then it sounds like it is in programming mode. Maybe you have a wrong or bad remote.
I think that my local O'reillys has a deal to test to see if remotes are sending out signals.

My original remote just had 2 buttons and this oe one has 3.
I guess I'm going to have to look some more in my shop for the old one. I have looked several times but to no success.
Glenn that's an aftermarket fob,is the system under the dash viper or ford and that remote works?
