73 F100 Starting Problem

I recently put a new rear tank in. Truck sat for awhile with no tank until I got around to putting the new one in. I put a few gallons of gas in and just got clicking sounds when I turned the key. I tried it maybe 10x. So I figured not enough gas? Tried again and just got one click when turning the key. Today tried to jump start... same one click. What could it be? Started and ran fine before I changed the tank.

So jumped her again and started up. I tightened the battery terminals a little more. Connection was bad on the negative. Died but I think I just need more gas. Case closed. I did notice the positive cable connected to the solenoid was pretty hot. Is that normal? Got a ways to go on fixes her up but at least the starter is ok for now. That will be a mf to replace.

Clean up the battery connections or even replace the battery cables if they are old. Corrosion can wick up the sheathing to where it cannot be seen...
