i just picked up this truck and it seems that this year of truck is hard to look up parts for. I was just wondering if there is some kinda cheat sheet for other years that are compatible that i could use. Im sure im not the only one with this problem and this has been already covered. I tried a couple different searches on here and couldn't find any that covered it. Thanks for any help yall could send my way

 

Look up 96 year model for your 97.

 

X2^^^^^^ the dumb azzez at ford decided to make a light duty f250(under 8500lb) and a HD f250(over 8500lbs) in 1996. The LD was just a f150 with 7 lugs and different rear springs. Just use 1996

Just remember there's Cali emmision and non.

 

1997 F250 'Light Duty' uses the new to 1997 F150 body/chassis with 7 lug wheels on a 135mm bolt circle.

1997 F250 H/D & F350 use the 1992/96 F150/350 body & chassis, have 16" 8 lug wheels on a 6.50" bolt circle.

Unfortunately, there's no Ford truck parts catalog available to the general public after 1989. Prior to 1990, truck/car parts catalogs are available on C/D's from hipoparts.com
