Just purchased the nicest older truck I've seen in a long time.
1997 F250HD Super Cab Long bed. 89,000 miles one owner. Grand Pa had to let it go. I got it for $4500.00.

Interior is mint. Bed panels are rusting over wheel arches. All I want to do is find some body parts for this thing and everytime I search, there is no reference to the 250 HD. Is this truck just a F350 badged differently. Will 1997 F350 Parts fit it?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

 

You may find that you will need to search for '96 F250 parts as they are the same truck. The '97 year models rarely show in parts information. And no, it is not a F350 that is badged differently although most F350 parts, other than suspension, will interchange.

 

Well that is a good deal.

The F250HD and F350 in 97 are just the 9th gen body, before the Super Duty.

97 was when the F-150 body style changed to the 10th gen.

That is the basic idea of it. Just look under 96 F series body parts for what you need.

 

Yep, like they said, it is a 96 with a 97 build date. When looking up parts just call it a 96 F-250 and all will be good... I've been dealing with it for 4 1/2 yrs and my strategy hadn't failed me yet...
