How do you know that a part from a different model year will fit your truck? I need a warning buzzer/chime module from a boneyard, and don't know what model years to look for (besides a '96, of course). I have a '96 F150, and I know their were drastic changes in the '97 models, so I assume they won't work.

 

I check online for parts exchange info like that. Go to RockAuto, Advance Auto, etc. start looking for the same part from a few different model types and years. A warning buzzer should be common to at least 1992-1996 F-series trucks and most likely more.
