Hey there, I'm looking to find new small LEDs that go into the billet dash inserts like the one picture here: 1948 - 1950 Ford truck Gauge Packages - egaugesplus Seems like these are sold with the insert, but does anyone know where I can buy them separately? I have one that cracked.
There was a time, not long ago, when you could find single bulbs all over Ebay. No so much any more. I would check with some of the dealers, Joe Florida and some of them. If push comes to shove, I think I may have a couple single reds around here somewhere.
Cheaper ones can be found on eBay, but you get the cheaper quality too. I'm not a huge fan of replacing a bulb and having to do it again soon after since the replacement sucked.
If you don't have the number for the bulb ask the place you bought the gauge from. Easiest way to be certain you have what you need.
I think I picked my LEDs up at the local Radio-Shack. They were larger diameter than the Gauge Panel holes but my drill-press made short work of that. With my feeble eyes, I was actually glad to have them a bit larger.
