Thank all you guys for the info. I'm almost 100% sure it's a 79 chassis but still not sure what year body. There is not a plate in any of the mentioned locations. Can anyone be sure of the year by the pics alone?

Painted grille is from a 1964 Standard Cab, but the truck is a Custom Cab which would have had an anodized aluminum grille.
But the 1961 thru 1966 grilles can be swapped. 1961/64 grilles have the parking lamps in the grille, 1965/66's have the parking lamps in the upper grille panel.
All 1961/64's, 1965 F100/250 4WD, 1965/66 F350/1100, 1966 F250 4WD have a large cab step visible when the doors are opened.
No cab step: 1965/66 F100/250 2WD & 1966 F100 4WD
Custom Cab door handle guards introduced in 1963, used thru 1966. When factory installed, Ford did not install side mouldings.
Without the door handle guards, 1961/66 Custom Cabs have Custom Cab nameplates on the doors, just below the side windows.
