A/C Condenser Replacement

Is the A/C condenser pretty simple to replace on the 2006 F350? Replaced the compressor but then noticed the condenser was leaking. Looks simple just wondering if there are any quirks to it.

I did it in my '03 back in '09 era, seems to me it was pretty simple.

Should not be too hard.
I can post the 2005 PDF for you. You will need to verify
that this is the same info for the 2006.

Awesome, thanks!! Any chance you have one on replacing the evaporator? Hopefully don't have to but curious what's involved. I know it's a lot more.

I do but like I said it's for 2006. I hope to have the PC back living
in the next 2 days and that way can get you the correct info. More
than likely most of it will be the same but as we both know it's that
one tiny difference that can cost you.

I just posted everything in that directory.

Don't forget this is all from the 2005 model year shop manual.
So there could be differences in steps or values.

Wish I had your intellect.

Life, What's that?
Disability sucks I can tell you that. I go to school and get my head all
filled up with all of this knowledge and PAY for it. Then I am stuck
and can't use it to make money by working so I may as well help others
that are in need. That or rent the rubber room at the funny farm.

gauges and vac pumps are not cheap! Lol. I've been in the trade for 1 year now and I've spent about $1200 just on gauges haha. I do have some sweet digital gauges though

For backyard use, Harbor Freight has gauges at a reasonable cost.

Mike Harbor Freight also has vacuum pumps. But get this they don't
have vacuum pump oil. But I guess a made in China vacuum pump
won't last long enough to justify an oil change even if you trying to
dry out a system that got water in it. I just picked some up at
https://www.grainger.com
I had a Robins Air pump I picked up at my local pawn shop and the boneheads
had dumped the oil out of it. They cut me a deal do to the fact I could not
test the pump before taking it home. Got it home and it pulls down nice and fast.
I wished I had a good gauge set to check how well it pulls. But that is next on
the list of personal do dads and what not.

The Harbor Freight pump is good, I have it, but the more expensive one.I also have their gauges. They are not bad. I bought all that stuff there because I lost it in Super Storm Sandy down at the marina. I still have the find a sniffer thou. I say go for it if you need to get the tools.

The pdf makes it look pretty simple on the evaporator replacement. Anybody actually done it that can comment on getting all fasteners removed and how difficult it might actually be?
