On my old Chevy, I blew the system out with nitrogen and then vacuumed it.

The compressor was cracked, a hole in the condenser, and pretty sure the evap is leaking so hopefully it's the last part to replace and I will be good. I'm 90% sure flushing it is not going to work.

This was a busy day for me, was sent at noon to start pulling vacuums, 5 5 ton resi units. I was there until 9:30. Lucky that I stayed so late as I was not aware of which condenser went to which system and the last 2 I pulled vac on were the 2 most critical to be started the next morning.

Hope it was not too hot out on that roof. I have been on a rood for hours on a hot day babysitting the other guy
because I was the one with the security clearances. Paid to watch and keep the guy in view.
FAA can get really bitchy about that.

That day wasn't too bad, but I always have my jug of water with me! I've done work on the roof of the Calgary international airport and it was the same thing with the watcher. I've also been in the position of watcher when I was in oil/gas safety.
