It all depends where you get the replacement part. If we either repair yours or provide you a unit on Exchange, it would come pre-programmed as a play and play unit.
In either scenario, we could either load any version of software that Ford ever came out with or could load you up with an aftermarket tuning option that will assuredly have your days of lusting after the 6.7's become a thing of the past.
Regardless of where you elect to get a FICM, though, PLEASE be sure to have your batteries load tested and your alternator tested on a bench somewhere to ensure that they continue to be up to snuff.
