215 Engine accessories
I had my 215 rebuilt about a year ago and its been on the stand ever since. I'm starting to dive into all the engine accessories I need to get this beast on the road. Need advice/leads on getting those rounded up for a good price and quality. Going 12 volt.
Starter? My old one may be able to use for a core.
Alternator - planning on GM one wire.
Water pump?
Harmonic damper?
Distributor - planning on a 300 duraspark. Just need to figure out the drive. My new oil pump has the slotted drive where the dist has the hex.
Going with the Clifford dual webers and header kit.
I probably forgot something
I'm sure these answers are on the site its just easier to get them all in one post.

pholmes, years ago, I converted a 1963 VW Beetle from 6 volts to 12 volts. The thing to do back then [in VW circles] was to change the generator, regulator and all bulbs to 12 volts, but leave the 6 volt starter. It would spin much faster, but for a very short period of time. My old used 6 volt starter motor lasted a couple of years after the conversion. Don't forget to change the fuses as well.
There was a resistor which was used to drop the 12 volts to 6 volts, for the original radio [tube type].
