What needs to be changed on a flathead motor for it two run on 12 volts?

Starter, generator, voltage regulator, ( unless you just have to have a generator a GM single wire alternator with internal regulator is a good replacement) also ignition coil, you will need a resistor in positive wire circuit going to coil to keep from burning up ignition points. That is engine only. Lights, gauges etc are another story, think they are covered pretty good in previous posts. Starter will work for a while, turns over real fast, but will burn up pretty quick.
