B and w ball stuck in stored position

Hey I haven't used my gn ball for probably 3 years went to pull it out and flip it over to use it and it is stuck solid. Tried pb blaster trans fluid hammering on it jacking the truck up by it heating it and no go. Any ideas on how to get it out.

The only way I got my dad's out when it froze in was to remove the mount plate and then press it out.

I would post this in fifth wheel / gooseneck forum . You should get more responses there.

You have to Drill a 1/4 in hole about a 1/4 inch Deep in the Pin stick a Big Nailset in it and Drive it out with a Sledge

If you just beat the pin it Mushrooms and Locks tighter
the hole has to be able to accommodate the device you use to punch it out

My other truck did this. I spayed the ball with penetrating oil and let it set over night. I was able to work it out from there. Dirt and rust really seizes them in there.

That is exactly how I had to get mine out after not using it for a while. Now if I am not using it i leave it in my tool box.

Yup -- took quite a bit of PB and time, and banging on it.

Now the thing to do is clean it and and the receiver all up and grease the crap out of everything! When I put mine back upside down, I also put plastic over it to keep water out (had a bed-liner with just a hole in it for the B&W, so tucked the plastic under that...

But really, it is lots of grease that kept it from happening again...

Just paint it with a coat of anti-seize and you won't have that problem again.
