1986 window problems
I am working on the kids 1986 ranger, The plastic part that bolts to the window and the regulator moves is broken. Drivers side door with vent window. If someone has the part number or a part any help is appreciated.

I doubt you can find a 'new' part. The 'plastics' are starting to get brittle and come apart at that vintage. Just wait until your wipers quit working at zero dark thirty on a two-lane popular with semi drivers. There's a plastic bushing that 'jams' into the linkage, and it might fall out. Made of unobtainium, and mine is a year older, and lived in sunny CA for some years just to make sure the plastics got their 'bake' in early.
I would be lurking at a wrecking yard for the part you need. Now I am going to start wondering about my truck. Now and again the window just does not want to return to the up position, and seems to bind. The bind is so much that I am afraid I will break something.
