Bending Push Rods 390 FE

Good Morning Guys

This is what I have
FE 390
was bored 030
crank 010/010
all new valves, springs, valve guides
mild rv camshaft
proformer intake and 600 cfm vac secondaries holley

Drove truck had immediate miss found

bent # 2 exhaust push rod
replaced push rod drove it a little not much at lower rpm,s

bent # 6 intake push tube

Have any ideas where I need to look first?

Springs matched to the cam?

Heads milled or block decked?

Rocker oiling correct?

How did you re-install the rocker arms? There is a procedure.

If you reused the old push rods, dollars-to-donuts they are too long after the rebuild.

Sounds like a valve-lash check is in your future.

Probably a hydro cam so no "lash", his lifters should have preload. You probably will need different length p.r. now because aftermarket cams are likely ground on a different base circle plus all the new parts and machine work that's been done. It has to be checked now.
