Hey guys, I am putting a 4 barrel carb, probably a 500-600 cfm on my 360 (1970 f100). I have read a lot of the threads about this but have not found a clear answer to the question I have, so any help will be greatly appreciated.
I want to know if I need to still use a factory spacer with the coolant stubs on it for this upgrade. If not what size spacer should I use under the carb, and can I just plug the coolant port that is on top front of the manifold?
I have a factory cast iron manifold and have already upgraded to dual exhaust, just waiting on the headers. Also planning on HEI upgrade.
This is a common question and is covered repeatedly in the FE forums. I will ask to have your post moved there.

Best help I can give you is to post in the FE forum!

Yes, you need to use a spacer that fits the manifold and carb. If you don't need the pre-heat, block off the stubs.
