Another starter question
Did some searching and can't find an answer anywhere. I have 460/c6 in my 1979 bronco and everyone says to put a starter off a newer 460 on it. I bought one for a 1995 f350 with an auto but the gear has 10 teeth but my old one has 9. Will this work or did I get the wrong one? Thanks in advance.

Check the gear size if they are the same diameter, then obviously it won't work. I always check I f the gears on the old one mesh with the gears on the new. I haven't seen a thread about that for a while, but I know it was common to make the switch to a mini. I will try to find one.
