Major? Trans malfunction
Alright guys I've got a truck that has me officially stumped.
2005 f-350 6.0 225k miles
5r110? Auto trans.
Had a SCT x4 tuner in it in idk what mode. Started having trans issues so he turned it back to stock.
Got an engine code that said the TQ converter was slipping. She had drive but no reverse.
Checked fluid level, wasn't one.
Added fluid and thought we found a leak, was just some spills. Bought some degreaser and sprayed the whole underside of the truck. Added a gallon of trans fluid and ran through all the gears. No leaks and she moves under her own power, but only forwards.
Reverse, neutral, all the way to 1 is all forward momentum. She had some occasional grinding noise in her 200' trip from the washer to the lot, and she will occasionally make a buzzing noise when put into park, but it only lasts about 20 seconds and doesn't happen every time.
Also when parked the tow light on the dash was flashing, didn't get to scan for a code yet.
Thoughts?
