hey guys, I know this question has been asked many times but I cant seem to find the answer I need. most answers come back on newer model trucks and don't pertain to my 86 f150.
my high beams are working fine but I have no low beams. a lot of people say the bulbs are bad about going bad at the same time but I have all brand new bulbs and harness. im running the lmc clear lights, euro I think they are called. and I upgraded to their harness with the relays as well. ive checked 3 fusable links near my solenoid ( im not sure which one is right) but they are all showing good. ive checked my dimmer switch and in one position I have 2 hots and a dead, and in the other position I have 2 hots and a dead, with the dead alternating between positions. it seems like it should work that way.
one weird thing ive found and im thinking it may be unrelated ,because from what I understand there are no headlight fuses, is that not all my fuses have power. some do some don't. I thought if the fuse box had power then all fuses would have power.
otherwise im at a loss. can anyone think of anything I have missed?
So if I have this right it sounds like the dimmer switch is working right and sending power out to the bulbs both high & low beams.
If I also have this right you have LMC relay kit. I would check to make sure you have power to the factory plugs for hi/low beams and go from there.

yea that's kind of what I was thinking, that plug did feel a little loose I guess the high beam connector may be making contact but the low beam connector isn't. guess I got to take those batteries out AGAIN.
Problem solved! It turned out one of the prongs in the factory harness had backed out when I plugged it in. All lights in good working order. Project complete!
