On Project Cobalt the previous owner messed with the brake switch a bit. Which wire is the hot lead coming in so I can test for proper circuit?
The green with red/pink, or the solid green? It needs a new pigtail, it looks like it was halfway melted at some point. So I'll probably go to the JY and grab a pigtail from a donor truck to rewire it.
if its just two, I would think you could find the hot wire with a test light.
ground the test light, probe the wire(s).
the test light should glow on the hot wire,
if it doesn't glow on either wire, try pressing the brake pedal down, and see if the test light glows probing the wire(s)
which ever wire glows is the hot wire; the other is a ground wire.
It's the standard two. I'm away from home on a family outing for the day. I just wasn't sure if it's a hot 12v, or a ground that is an open circuit where I'd be testing for continuity
