First and most likely, you have to much fuel. This can be turned down on the injector pump with an Allen hex key, there is a set screw under a small cover in an awkward place on the side of the pump.
Check your air filter first, may need cleaned or replaced, then you are on the right track.
Also second your timing may be out of adjustment. There are stickies at the top of the page to read covering most of this information. Between the stickies, following advice found in them and asking again for specifics you will get to the bottom of this. Presume no turbo
But just to be sure once I do all the stuff you suggested and I proceed on straight piping it. Do I cut off before of after the cat? Everything I've read says before but someone just told me after so I just would like to be 100% before I cut it off
