Changing from solid rear window to power rear window

I'm looking to get a 2014 F150 but the one I'll be getting only has a solid rear window. Has anyone ever removed the solid window to install a power sliding rear window? Parts, pictures, and how to? I'd like to be able to do this at home.

Opposite question

I have a 2014 with privacy tinted power slider and want to switch to solid rear. Will the body control module accept not having anything plugged into it, any trim parts different?

F150, too bad we're on opposite coasts... arrgh.

You will need the power rear window, switch and trim piece. The wiring should be there but double check before ordering.

Not 100% positive, but I don't believe the motor and cable are included with the window. Those items would have to be purchased as well.

If you go on eBay Fairway Ford sells the window as a complete kit with motor and cable. I even think they sell the switch with it as well.

That would be the way to go. Fairway Ford generally has the best prices, as well.

Once I upgrade my truck, if it doesn't have it I'll be sure to do this and put up some pictures.
