Engine/Transmission Rattling
I have just completed my first Engine rebuild. It is a 1975 F250 with a 390 Engine and c6 Transmission. When I start the engine cold Oil starts at 55, when hot it settles to about 10-15 at idle. It never gets hot my temperature stays at about 190. With the truck in park and revving the engine there is no noise, but when I take it for a test drive there is a ratting noise. it is not a constant rattle you can only hear it when the vehicle is at higher rpms right before shifting. It also seems to be louder in the Cab then outside of the Truck. The transmission is also a fresh rebuild, did not do much work to it just replace seals, rings and a few worn out bearings.
Has anyone had this problem or have any suggestions on what I should check?
