I have a 2005 6.0 that just had the EGR cooler & HPOP replaced about 3 weeks ago that cost me under $3300. It took almost one week for them just to look at and in total almost 2 weeks without my truck. They ended up repairing i but as soon as I left the shop I've had nothing but trouble. They forgot to connect one of the wires to the board that caused the truck to have a rough idle, two days later I get a low oil pressure light and got home the truck was dripping the oil. Had the low pressure sensor replaced since it was leaking and 2 days later the low oil pressure light comes on. Cost me over $300 for all that service and got money back on 1st sensor that was defective.
last week was the first week I had no problems with the truck but the start of new week and new problems. Last night I noticed truck wasn't running like it should but I just figured I'm freaking out. Today on my way to work truck started up no problem but half way to work the truck lost power and stalled. I pull over to side of road and try to restart but it wouldn't turn over.
Now I'm thinking I better call in to work but I pulled out my Torque application while I was on hold with work and saw the P2290 code. I cleared the code and truck started right up. So I did make it to work but now I'm here at work and not sure if the truck will even start up later?
Could the code be related to any of the work they have done with the shop? I'm so fustrated with the none stop problems and them giving me the run around! I know if I take it back they will give me an excuse that it's something else probably to get more money since they charge $99 just to figure out problem.
I need your help!
Could it be related to the work? What can it be? Thank you so much
That code is related to the icp sensor. If it was the one they forgot to plug in that you plugged in it will throw that code. On yours it will be by the valve cover on the passenger side.
