4.0L rev limiter?

4.0L rev limiter?
Just wondering if there is a rev limiter for the 4.0l ranger. This may sound stupid and all, but I was looking for anyone if they knew what RPM it activates and such since my 99 is tachless 
. However, it will have a tach soon just depends on how fast UPS can drive from California
