Triodes....sorry but I am not going to be much help with what I have. I bought them at a store locally that specializes in lighting. What I can tell you, if the light has a DOT marking on it, it is legal. I didn't put a relay in, I changed from a sealed beam to a light that allows the bulb to be replaced/inserted in the back. The hardest part is a very small fan that needs to be installed in the bucket behind the beam. It fits but there isn't any room left over.
As fo the brightness effecting on coming traffic, I adjusted my lights to point downwards a small amount, I drive a lot and drive at night in city traffic, I can say since installing that not one time has anyone "blinked" their lights at me wanting me to dim mine.
Please point me at the LED headlights to changeout stock 1956 F100.
