A new strategy for dealing with exhaust filter cleaning

For some reason I can't see the pics you posted at the beginning of the thread.
Lifted?
But to tell you the truth, I would not hesitate to delete if my truck was affected with regen problems.
But the flash won't really alter the amount of miles on my 2015 between regens since it already is about 300 miles.

No I just leveled that truck I just like that picture, and I'm not really just worried about fuel mileage I'm worried about a year of driving with filter cleaning every other day ridiculous. I'd love to know why it's not doing passive cleaning I can't imagine a 12000 pound trailer with ceramic isn't enough to heat the engine up especially with the warmer weather now?? I appreciate everyone's opinion and I might give it a few more weeks to see if it settles in before I do a delete thanks again and take care

People on the forum said I missed it but I always watch that mpg display when I get near the 300 mile mark. And it never went into a regen as far as I'm concerned. I think it was doing the passive regen thing on its own.
When I got home it went into regen about 200 miles later.

If you really want to know the status of the dpf you can get a tech to enable the manual regen screen, it will display dpf full%. Or, you can buy one of the obd 2 displays.
My truck, when towing, will regen approx every 700 miles. Sometimes it will regen at 85% full, sometimes at 100%, never dropping to less than 35% full. Sometimes it will regen at a 300 mile interval but not always. I don't think any part of that system ever does the same thing consistently. Just when you think there's a pattern to it, it will do something new.

wow that sounds wrong??? my truck before the flash a week of towing no filter cleaning, but just driving that same job highway 68 mph just tools and some supplies about 2200 pounds in truck a filter cleaning would happen at best 15 minutes on the third day 792 miles on the way home i could call it like clock work. one other thing i have the filter screen on my truck now i can see soot % it never gets above 85% starts cleaning ??? that could be whats wrong do not know????

While I've had the CTS since the beginning with its regeneration indicator and Soot GPL, I had the DPF‰ screen only a few days. I had a regen yesterday with DPF Full but only 1.50 gpl. I had been towing but was now unhooked. The regen was done on the interstate with 6th locked out, took 12 miles and down to 25% DPF Full and .78 gpl. First time I watched the new screen during the process.
