I'm trying to wrap up my 351 engine swap into my 91 efi f250 and running into some issues. I was able to start it and got it running and it sounded good idling but after a couple minutes it would cut off and have a bit of trouble starting again. I got a code for the canister and another for the egr solenoid. I went to the junkyard and got a canister and egr solenoid. The truck was running fine until I got to third gear and the engine just shut off, no sputtering or struggle if any kind. Today I cleared the computer and with got 34 and 85 koeo codes. With the engine on I got 44 and 34. I have a feeling my vacuum hoses are too small or something like that but it seems like a weird reason for the engine to shut off like that. Any suggestions as to what's going on would be appreciated.
Edit: when I got the motor the smog pump was locked up and I didn't wanna buy another and this won't be emissions tested so the TAB and TAD solenoids are gone.
Update: pulled the codes again and the only relevant one is 34. Had the egr solenoid vacuum lines hooked up wrong. Fixed it and drove about ten miles thought it was finished and then the engine stalled out again(a lot better than making it just a few hundred yards). The RPMs seemed pretty high when I had the clutch pressed in and was coasting not sure what would be causing this. Considering just taking off the egr. The mixed opinions on removing it have me concerned though.
