ranger rearend

is the rangers rearend an 8.8? if so how wide is it?

You could have a 7.5 or an 8.8, not sure how wide the total rear is, but I'm sure someone else can help with that.

Hey guys! On all rear ends, you have to measure from hub to hub, with the drums removed. That will give you the honest axle width. Since they do come with the 7.5 and the 8.8, you can use either one if you are considering a swap. The 8.8 is a good rear and is easily converted to disc. Gear selection is also good, since the Mustang uses the same 8.8. Talk with you guys later....
