strate axle 2wd front susp

has anyone ever converted their 2wd twin I beam to a strate axle setup like the 64 and earlier f-100s? reason is I want to alter the wheel base for the best front to rear ballance. I want to bring the front wheels a couple of inches forward and set the motor as far back as posable. I'm not worryed about handling because that gets me too manny tickets and this ranger is going to be mostley a drag truck.

anyboddy? i've seen it done to some older rods but i would like to see what it would look like on a ranger.
