Quick question
Can the average mechanic put a hole in the dash of my 70' F100 to add a phone charging or lighter outlet without damaging anything?

If the average mechanic can drill a hole without tearing anything else up, sure.

As an alternative, you can wire the outlet through the glove box as a sort of extension cord. Keeps everything stock looking, yet functional.

Or put a bracket below the dash with the outlet if you don't want to modify the dash.

These are all great suggestions. I'm not a purist by any stretch. I just want the most cost effective method.
