Good evening. I am working on swapping an EFI 460 into my 1978F250. I have rebuilt the engine for carb use new
heads etc. I am just about the point of installing the alternator (1 wire powermaster), water pump power steering and tensioner. Does anyone possibly have the 7.5L belt diagram handy. The guy I got the engine from said it was a 1995 F350 plow truck. It had an air pump that ran off a separate Vbelt the rest I think was a serpentine belt. I switched phones and lost the pictures of the engine prior to disassembly. I do not need modern emissions because it's going in a 1978 so the air pump will not get installed.
There are two belts for the 460. The belt furthest from the block runs across the crank, water pump, alternator, and A.I.R. pump. The belt closest to the block runs across the crank, power steering pump, air conditioning compressor, the belt tensioner, and the water pump. I put these in order starting with the crank then going counter clock wise from there. Ribs go to ribs, and smooth goes to smooth.
I may be wrong about which is which. Let me put some pants on, and I'll double check.
