Question New member with a problem

I have a 2003 f-150 getting a significant amount of water under carpet on passenger floor board. Nothing appears to be damaged around ac drain on inside or outside. When I push on insulation around ac drain from inside it is wet and drips water. How is water backing up into the cab through or around the insulation? Even if the drain was plugged it doesn't make sense that water could work its way back into the cab. The heater box is a sealed enclosed unit. Please help.
