A good friend of mine was a reptile collector as a teenager in the California desert. He and a buddy would take his dad's pontiac out there and find a good rattler (not sure why) and toss it in the trunk. Upon arrival home from one of these outings this big ol snake had disappeared into thin air. A total tear down of everything removable was done to no avail. Only after the stench a couple weeks later his remains were found in the x bracing on the underside of the trunk lid. Not sure how they ever got it out. Maybe traded it in?
