Project loud
It's also worth noting that you freedom to be noisy only goes as far as impacting your neighbors... if you make a super-loud vehicle which bothers them, YOU become the jerk who screws up the neighborhood and liable to visits from the po-po or irate neighbors. Might be something to consider. Hate to see someone with a badge inform you that you're walking until you get the exhaust fixed.
Things to think about when bagging your truck if lowering are suspension travel. Not sure which part of GA you're at but things like road construction, speed bumps (dirt roads?) will limit how far you bag the truck. If you look at the gap between your rear axle and frame you'll see there isn't too much room to drop the truck before frame modification will be required not to slam onto your bump-stops (if they're still there).
Not to bash you but having the loudest truck doesn't make it any faster. Not sure how old you are but if you're young (highschool early 20's) it doesn't make sneaking up to the girls house at midnight any fun at all. Everyone knows where you are. Its asking for a ticket. If you're leaving the local watering hole (assuming you're 21 and below .08BAC) its just asking for a field test.
With the EPA crap and everyone crying wolf about pollution you're not doing anyone any good for having a 'LOUD' truck. Look what happened to the diesel world. A few morons 'rolling coal' and now DEF is mandated for modern trucks. I may continue to rant. If you want performance save the cash put heads, cam, intake, carb on it, full tube headers some turbo mufflers and it will be loud under WOT and fine when driving normal. By making the exhaust open you are literally making the truck slower, get worse MPG, and ruining your exhaust valves. They need a certain amount of backpressure not to burn up........
