I have a 92 ford Flareside with a 5.8 efi automatic and it won't start when I jump start it it runs and I let it run for a bit and I shut it off and try to start it again, nothing it don't even try to turn over just dead even when the battery is in the normal range. Pretty sure it's the alternator but wanna make sure thanks
I'd start with checking the battery for a dead cell, if it'll start with a jump and the alt gauge is saying normal range for charging, I'd look 1st at battery, 2nd at connections and cables.
