I don't know, I contacted the seller a few weeks ago and they said they would try and contact USPS. Well I didn't hear from them, but I contacted them again yesterday and they said they would send me another order!
I know the loss of the package wasn't the sellers fault so I wasn't mad at them or expecting them to do anything for me, I just didn't know if there was insurance on the shipping or not. If they really are sending me another order, that's super awesome of them! Hopefully USPS doesn't lose my package again though.
So I figured I'd post in here so I only clutter up this thread.
I finally got around to installing my gauges today! I bought them about a month ago, but then I found out my injectors needed to be rebuilt so I held off installing them.
Unfortunately, I think my fuel pressure gauge may not work. They are glowshift gauges, so they aren't the highest of quality. I know, I know, people are going to say you get what you pay for! 250 bucks for three gauges isn't really a DEAL though if you ask me. I mean it IS cheap compared to issopro or autometer that's for sure, but 75+ for an individual gauge shouldn't mean it's garbage!
Oh well, I'll see what the tech support tells me and figure out if I can get that working. I also installed the dp f5 chip I purchased off of nossliw as well. It still only tuned for stock injectors while I now have stage 1s, but I can't afford to get the chip re-tuned for another few weeks or more so I figured I'd throw it in now.
The chip definitely makes some more power! It also makes the truck act as a black smoke grenade if I push the pedal down a little harder than normal. I'm not sure if that's because the chip isn't tuned for stage 1s, or if it's just normal to roll tons of smoke when a bigger tune.
I just put in a chip in. I have no idea how it will run. I hope to avoid rolling coal myself. it really pisses people off including me when I'm behind someone. On the other had if i need the power of the chip i guess it will just roll. Hopefully with the travel trailer on the back it will not be so bad.. Why do you think the gauge will not work? I bet they are just as good but brand name sounds better. I have had 2 of 5 autometer gauges take a dump on my and the warranty did nothing for me. I still bought them as i like the style better but i did get them on e bay for under 100 ea.
Yeah I really didn't want to be rolling coal, but I'm not sure if I can avoid it using a higher hp setting.
For the gauges, the EGT and Boost gauges seem to work very well. The fuel pressure gauge lights up and does its needle sweep when I start the truck, but it gives me no fuel pressure readings. I'm not sure if the fuel pressure sender is bad, the gauge, or maybe the plug just came loose after I installed the gauge.
I've read that a lot of people like glowshift, but I've read equally as many hate it as well. I think if the gauge is bad, I should have a warranty or something since I purchased them about two months ago and just got them installed.
I believe so yes. I had the injectors upgraded to stage 1s. All my nozzles were replaced because the original ones were in bad shape, but I believe stage 1s use stock sized nozzles right?
They aren't the original ones. I replaced them with some clearer style headlights a few years ago. When I had the 302 pulled, I painted the Bronco this scheme, and ended up polishing and putting clear coat over all the lights to keep them looking nice and new.
Can you PM your link to the "other" site so I may check it out?
I think I may try and put the rest of my exhaust on today... Maybe. I have to hacksaw the longbed 3" straightpipe down to fit my Bronco. I also have to grab a clamp. I don't think I want to weld the rest of the pipe on unless people think it will be better if I do. The pipe basically ends right at the transmission crossmember right now.
Bubba J, I got the part in and it works great! thank you thank you.
Awesome! I'm glad it worked out! That must be a relief to have both tanks working. I think the stock sizes are something like 12 gallons each aren't they?
It's nice having the 32 gallon bronco tank on mine!
Edit: I just noticed you have the 38 gallon rear tank so you can probably store tons of fuel now! I do think the stock tanks equal something like 28 gallons combined though maybe even less.
