Bent frame

Bought a salvage F250 from blurry pics and the frame is bent - just the front end where the bumper attaches. It's pushed a good couple of inches towards the passenger's side. Is that easy to straighten or would I cut it off and weld a new one on? I got a parts truck with all the parts I'll need. Wonder if a frame shop would charge me less to straighten it than a welding shop with charge to cut the old one off, then the replacement one off the parts truck, then weld it to the new truck.

Would be better off having a frame shop do it even if it costs more. The frame shop can make sure everything is within spec.

I will second that, it may be bent in places you can't see, the frame jig will tell just how straight it is.

I agree on take it to a frame shop also. Check your bed to cab gap also, if its uneven frame is bent further back. Had that type of repair done on a '97 F-250, turned out great.

a bent frame can be bent and you could NEVER see it with EYES...

also a small kink in the frame could prevent you from ever getting the front end aligned correctly.

or a Truck that Dog Tracks...

a Frame Shop.. No question. or part out the truck.
