Dose anyone have pictures of what the inside of a steering column looks like I have a 1966 F250 and I am rebuilding the column is is a automatic I have it all back together but there is a large spring that I do not know were it goose ?
The large spring goes inside down at the very bottom of the transmission gear shift tube.
It is number 7379 in this picture. If you look at the tube number 7212 in the picture it has a landing a few inches up from the bottom. The landing sits on top of the spring, sandwiching the spring between the landing and the shift lever 7302.
Thank you for that one to I was having a problem getting the lower spring to go back in I am doing a full frame of restore on this truck and I was stuck on that
