Seems to me you can upgrade to the later build ICP? A little more robust IIRC?
Maybe I'm full of hot air, thought I had read that somewhere.

I believe I've read that somewhere too but I've never gotten a 100% conformation and I don't want to buy it if it won't work.

Well I ended up just getting an OEM ICP for an 03 from Amazon. That solved the surging at idle problem.

And my hard start problem ended up being a dead battery. It got to the point where it's drain the batteries in no time while trying to start so I load tested them and the passenger side was bad. Replaced both batteries and haven't had a hard start since

And the alternator... get that tested ASAP or it could kill the new batteries and your FICM, You'll be right back to hard starting!

You need to see near 14v for charging correctly.
