360 distributor

Does anyone know why the distributor had a seal on it I can't get mine to sit low enough with the seal for it to work so I left it off

If it is the seal at the intake manifold. It has to be there so it won't leak oil

Well we're would it leak oil at I got no oil leaks its the one down in the intake where the oil pump is at

Sounds like your distributor isn't seated the whole way. That seal shouldn't stick up out of the intake.

Yea I need to show u a pic it's not the top one that comes out the top of manifold it's one inside the manifold about half way down the distributor
