As per title. My o/d light was flashing when I started the truck earlier, turned it off & restarted & all is fine. It did this twice last year & I suspect the VSS as the Pioneer head unit showed "no speed pulse" I won't have a chance to check further until the weekend.
I have had mixed results with TorquePro either showing or not show certain codes. Try ForScan. I have had much more consistent results even with Trans codes and body codes.
Just got the Forscan app, thanks, it shows a code (1500 or1550 IIRC) that is the VSS as I suspected, going to have a look later & check the connector & maybe pull it to see if it needs a clean. I'll probably order one up anyway, I'm guessing that this is the part Dorman 970 012 Rear Wheel ABS Sensor | eBay

Or should I find a Ford/Motorcraft part?
Sensor recommendations are ALWAYS OEM. I replaced that same part in my truck with something I got from NAPA about a year ago and it appears as though it's dead already.
