I'm down to the last four bolts in removing the cab. The steering column was the pits. The classic Ford Manuel wasn't really explicit on how to take it out.
Two 70+ shade tree mechanics had their hands full! Had to work down to taking out the clutch slave to make room to pull it out.
Any ideas on how the shifter arm is detached? Looks like a pressed pin? Now that the column is out, maybe i can tap the pin out.
Right side hood bolts to remove and the cab is off to the prep shop.
By the way, why no fuse box??
I'm still wondering about a new wire harness.
Yup, Horn. The early Fords used a hollow shaft to transfer the horn signal wire to the horn. One of the draw backs of do the Toyota power steering conversion is you loose the horn if you use the original column.
