Back with another dumb question... HELP

51 F4 horn button... I got the new horn button and the horn button assembly for Christmas. The assembly includes the wire with the contact on one end, and a connector on the other. I have the Shop Manual pictures to show how it goes together at the wheel.

My question is: where does the connector end of the wire come out of the steering column? The PO replaced the missing horn button in the steering wheel with a push button on the side of the column. He ran that wire out to the horn relay through the firewall, and both horns work. But I want to put it back to original, and I don't know where the wire is supposed to exit the column.

The wire goes straight down the column and exits at the bottom of the steering box right in line with the column.

Thanks Wayne. I guess what had me confused (among other things) is the PO's routing out through the firewall with the side-mount switch (button).

And, I tried to run the wire down the column and it bottomed out on something not very far down. More investigating needed, but at least now I know what I'm looking for.

I ran some mechanics' wire up from the bottom and used it to pull the wire. Like a fish tape.

Good idea. I was thinking that would be a good approach.
