For me, LED headlamps would be $4400 because I don't want the Lariat Ultimate package. Seeing that $1k price tag on the LEDs may actually save me $4400...that's just ridiculous!

Here, diesel and gas are the same price, but diesel has been 20-30% higher for the past 5 years until about 4 months ago.

I didn't order the lariat ultimate package so I could get headlamps. In case you didn't look really close, there's a number of awesome luxury that comes with the ultimate package.

And here in Alaska, diesel was more expensive for a long time but is much cheaper now and the price is still dropping.

I am not disagreeing with you in principle, but for me I would need to upgrade to a longer wheelbase I do not want and many of the Ultimate items I do not want (sunroof in particular) plus the cost of the headlights all combined is in the thousands and I would be forced to accept options I don't want on a CC I don't want. So in addition to $$$ the headlamps would cost me in additional ways relating to the acceptance of options forced upon me to gain one item.

Diesel dipped below $2.00 briefly a couple of week ago but is back up to $2.20 at the discounters and over $2.50 truckstop. Regular gasoline has been below diesel for the last ten years by at ten to 50 cents per gallon.

Online help

Hi,

i think it might be better to make an online repository for all the prices: better than scrolling over dozens of pages to find prices

I have created a google sheet where anybody with the link below can input numbers (which means anybody can also mess it up...)

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

I'll start inputting some stuff later on today, but feel free to start.

Eventually i'll bucket the options in terms of groups (exterior, interior, etc)

But for those who do haul weight the diesel will still be cheaper to operate over an extended period of time. And then there are those who just want to have a diesel. Can anyone really justify thousands of dollars extra for LED headlights? They work better, they are safer, they are awesome looking and they are expensive, at least at this juncture. I like diesels and many of my miles are empty. Will it be cost effective? I doubt it for me this time but the diesel in my veins would never support the purchase of a gasoline propelled truck. Ahhhhh, the sweet ping of diesel ignition plays better than a symphony and the climb up a mountain with the camper on board is ex-hill-arating. See you at the top.
I just ordered a gas. This truck will be long term and I cannot afford a non-warranteed $10k repair. I don't need the diesel except a few days of the year. I got the 4.30 gears and hopefully Ford bumped the power.

That will be a great truck which should give years of service and enjoyment. I notice you ordered the all weather mats. Have you or anyone had any experience with the Weather Tech Mats? I am having second thought about them for my new one. I used to be in and out of the truck numerous times daily in all kinds of foul weather. Now I am rarely in and out but did consider the W T mats for hunting season especially. Or has your experience with the Ford mats been positive? Thanks

I added what I had off my order sheet.

The rear seat mat and front passenger mats are good from Ford. Drivers side is laughably small, probably to make sure it doesn't slide under pedals. What I noticed is these are more expensive for the '17, so who knows.

Looking forward to your impressions coming from the diesel. What do you tow? I may have missed it elsewhere.

I'm ordering an XL. I'll put the whole sheet up later, but the base price on my sheet for an F250 4X4 super cab is 37670 retail 35598 invoice.

Nothing wrong with an XL at all. In fact, I think for this generation you'll be quite pleased with the quality and feature content of this interior.

I have a 16,000lb equipment hauler. However, I've never had more than 12k on it, so should be good. Prior to my current 6.7, I was running an F-350 with the 6.2, and 3.73 rear end. That worked OK, so this truck with 4.30s and hopefully a little power bump should work well.

Order sheet. Sounds like the dealer has come up with a way for me to get the cruise control without the value package, which is a fleet option, so my end price is actually a few hundred lower.
