1965 owners card decoder

Hello all, first time posting. I have recently pulled by father's 65 F100 from a 30 yrs slumber in the pole barn, and looking to get it running again. While searching in cab, I found the original owners card. I am curious if this has any additional information about options, especially the color since that is blank on the door tag. As far as I can see, the truck is original single maroon color, inside and out. There's a bit of over spray on the door tag, so suspicious if that's the true color.

Here's the info on the card:

F10DD674xxx 3663
D 28 D 08 A
05 08 65 62003 0

Thanks

99bones Welcome to and the Slicks Forum.

Number Dummy is pretty good with de-coding, hope he will stop in shortly for your answer.

Could you have special ordered a Vintage Burgundy M1632 in '65? That's the best guess match that I can come up with, since that color was available on other Ford cars of that year.

Thanks

Color

Is it close the color of my truck? This truck had special order paint. The PO worked as a body man at the local Ford dealer for 25 years, and found the color was Strawberry Red, and it was Lacquer from the factory.

Ford did not paint any vehicles including Lincoln's with lacquer. Beginning in 1960, vehicles were painted with acrylic enamel.

Domestic Special Order paint: No COLOR code stamped on the Warranty Plate, DSO number is composed of 6 digits.

Owners cards for the most part cannot be decoded.

VIN: F10DD674XXX

F10 = F100 2WD / D = 352 2V / D = Dallas TX Assembly Plant / 674XXX = 1965, assembled April 1965.

Post all the codes stamped on the Warranty Plate, located on the left door face below the latch.

It's more purple than red, and looking closely at the paint, there is some flake in it, so might be the Vintage Burgundy.

Thanks for info, but more poking around seems that there was a transplant at some time. From the valve cover color discussions here (gold pent shaped, blue rounded etc) and that the labe

l on driver side cover says 302, meets 1977 emissions stds
