Issue routing return fuel line

I did injectors the other day and decided to do the blue spring kit. My buddy took one wrench to the line instead of two.. and..bent the return line. So I got a new one on amazon for like 20 bucks. no big deal. I went ahead and got the regulator in, got the bent fuel line disconnected on both ends, awesome. But then this is where I got stuck. Getting the old fuel line out ( and the new one in ) is like fitting a square peg in a round hole. My buddy suggested (and did) cutting off the old line, just to be done with it. So great, the old line is out. But now I have a brand new line that just won't go in. There is just so much in the way. Is there a trick to doing this? Please let me know! Thanks!

Maybe you should just replace the section of line that's bent and join them together with a stainless compression fitting. Cut the new line in the same place you cut the old line and slide them in (unless a compression fitting wouldn't work at that point).

Other than that, it's just a lot of taking things off until you can put the new line in and reassemble. It is a lot of stuff to move, but nothing really difficult, I don't think.

Eyelet?

Compression fitting would not work there. There is an eyelet on the side of the block. Removing that would give me the clearance I need. Am I able to remove that? I have a bunch of allen key wrenches that fit in the hole.
