Inline tube question

Just received my set today. Does the line from the proportioning valve to the rear axle come from inline in two pieces? The one that's labeled long bed isn't close to being long enough. There is also a piece labeled short bed. Both together would reach. My original line is spliced. They did not include a splice in kit. This is for a 78 250 4x4 regular cab long box. Thanks.
