Usually, you say no question asked in earnest is a stupid question: but, that's a stupid question.
That's why they make short bed and long bed trucks. If you put a long bed on a short wheel base don't you think it would hang over a bit? (Like 2' or so)
I have seen a short bed on a long wheel base with a standard cab - they put a air compressor in the spot between the bed and cab.

Thats what i thought, I had always just assumed it to have a long wheelbase but a guy looking to buy it was wondering if it was long or short. I thought maybe he knew something I didnt.
